How do I apply?
You must complete an Application Form and pay the deposit of €600 in total. €400 of this is your booking deposit and will be refunded to you at the end of your stay minus any unpaid rent or damages. €200 of this is an admin fee that is non-refundable in any event whatsoever once you apply to live with us. Once we have both, we will then confirm by email that you have been successful in securing a room.
Management reserve the right to refuse admission.
If you are unsuccessful in securing a room with us, we will issue a full refund of the €600 to you.

How do I know if I have a room?
Once we have received your completed application form and your booking deposit you will receive a message confirming receipt of same. We will then advise you whether you have been successful or unsuccessful within 7 working days. If you have been unsuccessful your deposit will be refunded to you immediately. If you have been successful we will email you with further details.
Do I have to share a bathroom and bedroom with other people?
All bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom and all bedrooms are single.
Do I have to share a kitchen with other people?
You will share the kitchen and living room with your flatmates.
Can I live with my friends?
Yes, if you have any additional requests you must fill these out on your Application form and we will endeavor to meet these needs. However, this is not always possible.
Is there much storage in the bedrooms?
Yes, there is a large wardrobe and some storage above and below your study desk.
Can you please explain the Cancellation Policy to me?
Any bookings made before the 1st of March have a 14-day cooling off period. If you cancel within the 14 day cooling off period, you will forfeit the €200 administrative fee but you will be refunded the €400 booking deposit.
If you book a room with us after the 1st of March and cancel at a later date, there will be no refund of the administration fee or the booking deposit.
What about internet connection?
You will be provided with a wifi connection up to 100Mbps.
If I cancel what happens to my deposit?
Please only proceed with your booking if you are confident that you will take up the room offer. A booking/ Application form can only be processed once the payment of €600 is made to our nominated bank account.
€400 of this is a booking/ damages deposit. This €400 will be refunded to you at the end of your stay minus any unpaid rents/ damages/ outstanding monies due being taken against it.

How do I wash my clothes in Shanowen?
There is an onsite laundry room with washers and dryers. A wash is €4 and the dryer costs €4 also.
What can I expect to find in the apartments?
You will find an inventory sheet in the Applications section of this website which lists all of the contents in the apartments.
Are the rooms insured?
Contents and personal belongings are not insured in the complex. We recommend that residents look into this themselves or insure belongings under their home insurance.
Will I be living in an apartment with mixed gender?
Yes, you may. If you have any specific requirements in relation to this you must make it very clear when you are applying and on your application form.
Are TV sets supplied?
TVs are not supplied but you will have access to 15 channels on site. Please note that it is the responsibility of the TV set owner to provide a TV license for each TV set.
Rooms
Each apartment has either 4 or 5 bedrooms, all ensuite, & a shared living and dining area
Location
The complex is situated just 400 metres from the entrance to DCU, so is perfect for students
